Solo Exhibition of new paintings and related work : Olympus Gallery, Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater, Isle of Wight.
Drawing on the specific landscapes of Sussex, Freshwater Bay and Penwith and two earlier writers who were also inspired by them - D.H.Lawrence and Virginia Woolf, themselves very 'painterly' in their use of language.
This work will be matched with a selection of work from the Dimbola Museum Archive of Patti Smiths original polaroids from Monks House and Charleston; and a first showing of photographs of the young sisters Virginia and Vanessa Stephens [later Woolf and Bell] from the Anne Olivier Bell bequest via. Clive Bells private archive.
