4/23/2016 to 6/4/2016
9.00 - 5.00pm week days
Back in 2013 we mounted a highly successful double exhibition Under the Greenwood – Picturing the British Tree. The second of the two exhibitions featured contemporary artists’ take on the subject and this show spawned The Arborealists, a group of artists who exhibit together to promote the theme of trees in contemporary art. We are now delighted to welcome them back to their point of origin!
The exhibition features new work by 36 painters, although all are united in their subject, they use an incredibly varied set of working practices. Among those exhibiting are: Jemma Appleby, Graham Arnold, Mary Anne Aytoun-Ellis, Jo Barry, Guillaume Brandy & Francis Dalschaertt, Tim Craven, Michelle Dovey, Dan Hays, David Inshaw, Ffiona Lewis, Fiona McIntyre, Wladyslaw Mirecki, Michael Porter, Howard Phipps and Celia de Serra.
