Statement

I work in white stoneware and porcelain clays.  Some of my work is handbuilt, some is thrown and then altered.

The sculptural pieces are smoke-fired which enhances the organic nature of the clay and gives unpredictable results.    

Inspiration for much of my work comes from natural forms in rural and and coastal environments.

In addition to ceramics I make fused glass pieces.
