Sonia Di Bella’s artistic practice is concerned with exploring the intersection of femininity and gender representation, inflected by the long, turbulent, and culturally diverse history of her Sicilian culture. She works in oil on canvas, creating richly textured pieces with palette knives and plaster. Sonia was born in Ventimiglia (IM), Italy, in 1979. She graduated in the Fine Arts in Messina (IT).
