Statement

Artist's Statement My most recent paintings mainly reflect painterly ideas and moods that I see in the landscape and nature around the Teign Valley and on my travels through the South West, which is where I have been living and working for the past year or so. The changing character of the months is followed in the paintings. I have been developing a technique of working with the paint by pouring, flicking and scratching at the surface, which is effective in both depicting my surroundings and expressing my responses to nature and beauty.
