Suzie Maeder

Statement

My interest lies in drawing out the abstract, sculptural forms found within my chosen subject matter. In recent years I have moved away from portraiture to architecture, landscape and still life. The changeover from black and white analogue to digital and color photography has enabled me to develop a whole new language.

Her expertise led to lucrative contracts with major recording companies, international orchestras and acclaimed artists. Her work is published in the UK and abroad and has been shown in many exhibitions. Being drawn to more abstract interpretations, Suzie compiled a highly original collection of musical instruments and scores which resulted in exhibitions and the book "Seeing Music" in 2001. She is currently working on several projects about temple ceilings in Upper Egypt, Siwa Oasis in the Western Desert as well as the architecture of the Berlin Philharmonie.
