Introduction

Born in Rotterdam,  the Netherlands.Briefly studied at the Royal Academy in the Hague in the 60's  dropped out and ended my travels in London where I have lived and worked for the last 25 years. 

 I am a self taught oil painter and an etcher and I like to work out similar ideas in those very different media.

Etching in contrast is the fantasy of after midnight, of hard-won lines and deep inprinting.

Much of my images are tableaux vivants  showing  the hypocrisy of our social graces which gives us a veneer of civilisation yet does not hide our private awareness of an innate savagery.
