Introduction

I'm a realist painter specialising in landscape. My core subject is erosion and the effects this has on the works of man.

I paint extensively along the the Tidal areas of the Thames and other watery environments. Encompasing the broad area of erosion and especially the effects of rust led to a body of work documenting our industrial heritage.

Water erosion breaks down our concepts of reality and the resulting decay can lead to interesting patterns and shapes which become increasingly abstract. I like this frisson between reality and abstraction.
