Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize - 2020 - Extended Deadline




The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize has an established reputation as the UK’s most important annual exhibition of drawing.

The Prize gives artists the opportunity to show their work in a touring exhibition across the UK and win £17,000 in prizes.


2018 first prize winner Caroline Burraway said "This prestigious prize allows artists' work to reach a wide audience as it travels around the UK.”

2019 prize winner Penny McCarthy also described the Prize as “a career highlight”, adding that “Taking part in the shows is a fantastic professional opportunity – for anyone at any stage. The prize money and increased exposure are something that all artists need to make work.”


The following prizes will be awarded:
· First Prize of £8,000
· Second Prize of £5,000
· Student Award of £2,000
· Working Drawing Award of £2,000


The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2020 will be selected by:

· Frances Morris, Director of Tate Modern
· Sophia Yadong Hao, Curator & Writer, Cooper Gallery, University of Dundee
