Role: Distribution Assistant Trainee, Sheffield Doc/Fest
Reports to: Film Programme Coordinator, Director of Film Programming
Dates Required: 2 days a week, 20 August to 12 November 2018
Location: Sheffield Doc/Fest, 15 Paternoster Row, The Workstation, S1 2BX, Sheffield

As part of the Films team you will be training on the tools used to create a national film tour. If you’re interested in film and distribution this is the perfect opportunity to work alongside the Doc/Fest team to help promote the film tour taking place in Autumn.

This is an expenses only paid role

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Logistical support for delivery of UK film
• Assistance in cinema booking management;
• Assistance in Q&A tour booking and scheduling;
• Artist assistance for Q&A tour;
• Assistance in distribution of films to cinemas;
• Developing in house audience and booking data
• Assistance in event production for Tour event;
• Technical support for Tour coordinator.

Person Specification:
• Microsoft office / Mac experience;
• Interested in documentary film excited to find
out more;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word;
• Knowledge of Google Drive and Calendar;
• Highly organised and motivated;
• Fast learner and technically competent;
• Attention to detail;
• Experience of working as part of team;
• Experience of working as a volunteer or with a
team of volunteers;
• Interest in film.
