Led by ceramicist Dan Stafford, this two part master class offers a unique opportunity to test smoke-firing techniques and their use in ceramics. Week one will focus on creating hand-built forms using techniques such as coiling, slab building and press moulding which will be bisque fired. Students will follow up in week two with masking techniques to create unique surface patterns using the smoke firing process. This is a perfect course for beginners and those looking to progress their ceramics practice into new areas.
