Sound/Sonic Arts Professor

Professor of Sound/Sonic Arts:
internationally recognised academic and/or research leader with an excellent record of publishing and attracting research funding.
To strengthen work in areas related to sound recording, production, design and sonic arts in the School of Arts at University of Surrey. The successful candidate will offer inspirational leadership and work with colleagues to develop Sound at Surrey across a spectrum from sound engineering to creative arts production. You will engage closely with the School's Music section, whose areas of expertise include composition and modern musicology; and with the GSA, whose subject areas include technical theatre production and musical theatre. You will develop sound engineering, design, composition, production and/or recording across the School of Arts portfolio. You will contribute to the development of interdisciplinary research and the performance culture of the school. You will facilitate, mentor and empower junior researchers and will share our enthusiasm for building an outstanding and forward-thinking research community that aligns with current industry and professional practices. You will also lead in delivering a first-class student experience in your field, take an active role in teaching and developing programmes at UG and PG levels, and contribute to the academic management of the school.Deadline
