2012 Faena Prize for the Arts: Call for entries

Criteria

The competition is open to artists across the world and will award a grant of 25,000 USD to the winner as well as up to 50,000 USD to finance the production of a site-specific project that will be exhibited at the Faena Arts Center in Buenos Aires in mid-2013. In addition, two special mentions will go to two other projects with a prize amount of 500 USD each. The prize winner will be selected by an international jury that includes US curator Carlos Basualdo, François Pinault Foundation’s Caroline Bourgeois and Argentinean curator Inés Katzenstein, under the supervision of Ximena Caminos, Executive Director of the Faena Arts Center.

Deadline

7/6/2012

Details

The winning project must take into account the physical and symbolic space of the Faena Arts Center, interacting in a novel, intelligent and poetic way with the building and its urban setting. Artists or artistic collectives from across the world are invited to submit their projects for installations, sculptures, as well as graphic, technological and audio arts or combinations among these different expressions. Entry forms, criteria, deadlines and more information are available at: www.faenaartscenter.org/premiosf
