Role: Audience Engagement Trainee (Alternate Realities), Sheffield Doc/Fest
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Dates Required: 2 days a week, 20 August to 12 November 2018
Location: Sheffield Doc/Fest, 15 Paternoster Row, The Workstation, S1 2BX, Sheffield

As part of the Marketing team you will be training on the tools used to promote a national virtual reality & interactive exhibition tour. If you’re interested in new ways of storytelling and marketing this is the perfect opportunity to work alongside the Doc/Fest team to help promote the film tour taking place in Autumn.

This is an expenses only paid role

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop audience surveys, data capture and
analysis;
• Assist in developing tailored marketing
strategies at a local and national level;
• Assist in management of outreach campaigns;
• Research and develop new community partners
nationwide and internationally as well as
maintain current contacts;
• Research and develop target audience
database;
• Assist in tour reporting;
• Assist in production of marketing materials,
including merchandise and competitions;
• Assist in running social media accounts
including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and
others;
• Write bespoke emails and use Mailchimp to
create large database emails;
• Liaise with external venue marketing teams and
deliver assets.

Person Specification:
• Interest in virtual reality and interactive
technology, and documentary film, and excited
to find out more;
• Interest in writing;
• Microsoft Office, PC and Mac experience;
• Very strong verbal and written communication
skills;
• Knowledge of Google Drive and Calendar;
• Highly organised;
• High attention to detail;
• Experience of working as part of team;
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
desirable;
• Interest in Marketing.
