As a default standard, we use clear glass. This might seem ridiculous, but in fact standard picture framers glass is quite green due to iron oxides and of poor quality, whereas white glass maintains the clarity of the original artwork. These things help set us aside from the competition.
Further, there are several other choices of glazing which can reduce glare, and filter out up to 98% of UV; we have all the options available.
There are numerous ranges of mouldings, decorative wood fillets and mountcards in every shade and thickness imaginable to choose from and our staff will assist you in choosing the frame components to complement the artwork.
We can frame to every standard; Conservation, Exhibition and Museum Standards and are confident of working with items of value and are fully conversant with the requirements of conservation framing and can explain what is required to fully protect your artwork whether it be with pure cotton rag mounting boards or speciality glazing.
We also have a small art materials section with paint ranges such as Old Holland oil paints, and ARA acrylics.
In addition we offer a full cleaning and restoration service of both works on paper and easel paintings, including re-lining of canvasses.
