Working within the concepts of objecthood and object as celebrity, whilst exploring the identity, materiality and creation of a new narrative for an object. Referencing observation, surveillance, ‘through the keyhole’ and the ‘peeping tom’.

'If the reflective can be described as a medium, it is one in which the viewer becomes the author, because without the viewer it is impossible to discern the something, or even the nothing, that is there' (Josiah McElheny)

My practice focuses on the site-specific, with narratives of past and present, fact and fiction; visualising the invisible, revealing the presence of absence through reflection and creating the visual illusion of a parallel world.

Juliet's practice is research-led, with excavated traces interwoven into experimental, creative processes. Re-imagining and re-authoring are constant threads within the work, with modes of representation creating a distinct visual language. Research constantly informs her practice through discursive investigation, that is then transformed into unusual or unexpected interpretations.
