Introduction

Statement

Intensely coloured oil paintings inspired by natural forms.  

The works explore abstract patterns found in everyday objects - vegetables such as onions, lemons or pumpkins, seaside rocks or a full moon.

Parallel to this collection, Laura produces a diary of small paintings and photographs, a personal visual record of images and colours mostly inspired by travelling about London.

 

Biography

2008-presentInterior Designer specialising in kitchens working at Roundhouse Design, Fulham and then for my own interior design company, Laura Gompertz.
1992-2004Own business designing and manufacturing personalised children's bags, clocks and gift items.
1993-1995BTEC Art Tutor Barnet College
1985-1991Theatre Designer - set and costume. Productions included Ayckbourn premieres, pantomime and touring theatre.
