Statement

I express my experiences, loves and hopes using my vivdid imagination . There is a series of watercolours of myths and legends that are possibly semi-biographical. There is another series in oils of mystical creatures preparing for a carnival. My starting point for these paintings was the music  of Saint Saens and a wonderful exhibition of ancient manuscripts at the British Museum. My pottery is varied and often using sculptural bird and animal forms. This year they have a Mexican influence and some  are high lighted with acrylic paint. I am using some of the ceramic pieces in my recent still life oil paintings.

Biography

Much of my life has been busy encouraging  creativity in young children. But for the past 10 years I have been testing and trying out my own creative abilities. I have taught printmaking in Florence ,Italy. Now I do oils, watercolours, and pottery in Shepherds Bush. I am working with papier mache to make unique bird forms and my recent visit to Mexico has inspired me to work with a wide range of materials and vibrant colours.
