Introduction

Statement

The Erotic Nature series began in 2006. It was among the gum trees in the Australian bush that these sensual shapes first began to reveal themselves. Over the next four years a visual journey continued to my new home in England, and with trips to Europe, the US, Ireland and Turkey.

All the pictures are au natural, often turned upside down, sometimes reversed, but not retouched in any way.

After seeing bodies in the trees, I began to see animals, and so Animalia is the resulting collection.

Always carrying a camera, and walking most days, I have a large portfolio of landscaps and delightful captured moments.

 

 

Biography

Lilliana Gibbs has an eye for seeing the delightful, the absurd, the erotic and the humorous in the everyday.  She uses photography is a constant form of exploration and expression. Her early working life was in film and television, and she has worked professionally as a stills photographer.  Now she divides her time between her coaching practice and photography, and uses many creative processes in her work.
