Growing up in an artistic family in Wolverhampton, a small City in the heart of England, in addition to having spent time living and working in London, my art education has been one of artistic self discovery.
I have fond memories of chasing thunderous storms across the Staffordshire countryside and embarking on breathtaking adventures to the tops of majestic mountains in Wales and The Lake District. Dad’s contemporary abstract paintings hung proudly on the walls amongst Pre Raphaelite prints. Diverse influences from Walt Disney to Tim Burton, and Tchaikovsky to Queen could be absorbed, and my dream of a creative career began. Since then I have created artwork for both corporate and private customers in array of styles and mediums, including illustration, design, sculpture and painting. As a compliment to my personal artwork I am also co-founder of House of Hooper, a bespoke homeware business with a handmade vintage and antique theme.
From my studio in the West Midlands, I am currently working on a new collection of paintings and illustrations based on 19th and early 20th Century literature.
