Colour, light and texture are key elements in my work. The dramatic landscape and coast of the South West are a constant inspiration and I am drawn to capture the quality of light and spirit of place. I work in pastel, watercolour and mixed media.
My latest work explores the abstract qualities of flowers in the landscape. I play with the characteristics of watercolour, adding inks, oil pastel and gesso to create textural marks and semi - abstract interpretations.
After completing a BA Hons degree in Interior Design and many years in commercial design, I now focus on painting.
An early childhood surrounded by the raw beauty of the Fermanagh Lakeland has informed and inspired my work.
