Introduction

Statement

I was initially concerned with dualities and ambiguities which are interests of my upbringing, eg rural/urban , dynamic/static, interior/exterior.  Some of these dichotomies are represented by reflections and view the world from a different perspective or beneath the surface of the initial image. This is similar to reading between the lines of a person.  So by using reflections as a vehicle they become an analogy of the human condition, and ambiguity is closely related to the equivocation of the content of my work. 

As i live near to the Rivers Severn and Avon I also have a fascination with water, which relates and extends to the River Thames.  This therefore connects to the architecture and bridges.
