I went to Staffordshire University in Stoke on Trent, while training I worked at Royal Doulton in the modelling dept and successfully completed my degree. Since I graduated I have been working hard to get a small studio at home and all the equipment required to start making pottery. While working 2 part time jobs I have been spending every bit of spare time in my studio where I can escape into the world of creativity.
I use handbuilding and slip casting techniques so I am a hybrid of studio and industrial pottery which gives my work a distinguishable flare. I have also recently started throwing pots on the potters wheel which is fun and exciting. I make a wide variety of work from domestic functional ware to decorative vessels and figures.
I am now ready to present my work and have exhibited at the New Designers, Queens Park Shcool of Art, where I have been invited to demonstrate moulding and slipcasting techniques. I am soon to be exhibiting my work down in Whitstable and the Artshed Cafr.
I have been working on private commissions which includes making condiment pots for restaurants and unique one off work made specially to order.
