I am 39 years old and was born in London in 1970. I grew up in a working class household and my parents where carpenters, tailors and shop keepers from South and North London.
My schooling was a failure (dyslexia created a sense of alienation from the academic environment) and I left at sixteen. I returned to education to study horticulture and design and become a successful garden designer, working in affluent north west London. I soon became disillusioned from the limitations in the role as gardener/designer.
I have lived in Thailand, California (in a Buddhist community) and most recently Mexico and Guatemala where I had lived for five years and exhibited work.
I have no formal training in fine art but had some private tutoring by Guido Bondioli.
In 2000 I began painting. Initially for adventure and then as a profession.
