Biography

CC Johnson explores in her water colors the old myths of the Greeks when Olympus still was interested in the human affairs and morality. Prometheus brought the Fire risking his god-like status and Icarus tried to reach the sun. In her oil paintings, she take the images from my mind or real scenes and expresses her feelings in images that are free from the constraints of the world. The images may float in space, twist, and turn. Some details may remain while others disappear. A building may dance; the towers may swing in the brease. At least one moon or sun is almost always present. There are always stories in the images. One may see a different story on different days. In addition to her work shown in the IsendYouThis website, her work is shown in the Johnson-Art-Museum-and-Gallery.com website which is an online museum. She has been painting for over 25 years. She grew up in Paris, France and have lived in Mexico, USA, and Sweden. She currently reside in Germany and Sweden. She has had exhibitions in Paris, Mexico City, Monterey (California), Lund (Sweden), and Malmö (Sweden).
